In the Winter time, Elk, deer and other wildlife can be found lying on these travertine terraces.

Isn't this an awesome natural structure behind us? It used to be so hot, and the pressure built up that it made a mud volcano/fountain. Now it's 'dormant' and it left this.
The girls fell asleep so during their nap, Dave and I took turns going on this 3-mile hike. It was such a peaceful, beautiful, awe-inspiring experience.
can you see the mud spurting up? It's boiling bubbles down there.
This may not look it, but it's incredibly hot.

I love Yellowstone. We camped there when I was only a few weeks pregnant with Spencer. The only problem was how packed in we were with the many other campers in our tents.
Camille, we traveled all over the whole park and found the most wonderful, perfect campground. It's gorgeous, beautiful, and they give lots of space to each camper and it holds both tents and RV's. Anway, we loved it.
