Today as Rory sounded out the title to a book she was attempting to read (and she read the four-word title by herself) she decided to count all the letters in the title. I was reading something of my own when she squealed out in delight, "Mommy! I know that 10+10=20! Because I counted all these letters and there are ten! When I count them twice it's twenty! That's how I know ten plus ten is twenty!"

What a smart, strong, girl! Isn't it great when they are excited about their education progress? How can we keep them thinking like that?
